If we are going to spend significant assets on Bishop (hopefully we only do that in a sign & trade scenario) then we may as well go all in and try and get one of their stud RFAs.

I'd be most in favour of Palat, I think he'd fit in with this teams makeup perfectly

What do you guys think it would take to grab Bishop and 1 of those 3?

Edit:

I honestly wouldn't spend much on Bishop alone. He was open to the idea of a sign and trade last year at the draft. I think if we want him he'd be open to signing with us in the summer.

I'd be afraid of Bishop. Guy gets hurt a fair bit.

That's fair. But if we kept Johnson as a backup for next year we should be in good hands. Plus if Bishop goes down it could give us an excuse to toss Gillies or Rittich in for a few games...but ya, I'm more in favour of just waiting till the offseason to see what goalies are available.

The real prize in Tampa would be one of those forwards. One good thing about trading with them now is that they might not want to take back guys that they are just going to have to protect in the expansion draft.

Imagine if we could acquire a guy like Palat without giving up any key roster players?

Johnny Money Ferland
Tkachuk Backland Frolik
Palat Bennett Versteeg
Hathaway Stajan Brouwer

That would give us 3 super deadly lines!

Yeah, that's a head scratcher.

Kinda don't understand why anyone would want Burrows. Friedman has mentioned gm's being interested a few times this year.

Maybe he's doing Benning a favour by creating the illusion of competition. Ryan Leslie did that last week. Said several teams are starting to make offers for Wideman.

Did it once already with Dougie Hamilton, no reason it couldn't be done again. Just because the Oilers had to trade their best player for an above average NHLer doesn't mean every team is that stupid

And Shattenkirk turned down a trade to the Oilers... that's never happened has it?

Maybe that's the deal

If the Canucks are serious about tanking, 20 + minutes of Wideman a night is just the prescription they need!

Hmmm, why don't you take a look at the standings? Doesn't look like we're missing Hall at all. And correspondingly, Have fun lookin up in the standings at us for the next 15 years. Connor>anybody that has ever or will ever play for the flames.

Shattenkirk didn't turn down a trade to Edmonton. He doesn't have that power. He refused to sign an extension. Get your facts right.

You hit the nail on the head. Without Connor you losers would most likely be battling for that lotto pick with the Avs and Yotes No matter how much future success you guys have that will never be looked back on as a good trade.

Yeah Clyde, get it right! He just said that he would not stay in that poop hole any longer than he was contractually obligated. No matter how skilled Connor McJizzus is!!

We don't need Hall at all. It's called dealing from a position of strength to fill another hole. Somebody sounds peanut butter and jelly. Draisaitl is also better than anyone on your team. How bout them apples
